Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, birth date, or other term entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results; Plymouth County Warrant Records does not retain or record those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or contact message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a visitor loads a page, the site's systems may automatically receive technical information such as:
- Page-view dates and times
- Pages opened and time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser type and version
- The device's assigned IP address
- A referring website, when one exists
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device to help us understand site use, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that traffic information for us. A browser can be configured to reject cookies, although doing so may change how portions of the site function.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing and correcting technical problems
- Operating the site and maintaining its performance
- Routing a search request to the appropriate partner
- Understanding which pages are useful or need improvement
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
Plymouth County Warrant Records neither hosts nor sells a warrant database and does not compile personal warrant records. It offers general directions to public information held by the Plymouth County Sheriff, the Iowa District Court for Plymouth County, and Iowa Courts Online. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party dossiers.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes displayed on this site. Their privacy policies, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted through those tools, and we do not control those practices. Review the applicable provider's policy before searching.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Plymouth County Sheriff's site, Iowa court resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, that destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select targeted advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Information may nevertheless be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners processing a visitor's query
- Advertising networks serving material on these pages
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when valid legal process compels disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use customary safeguards for information we collect. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed completely secure, however, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning personal information may vary by residence and applicable law. Iowa Code chapter 22 governs access to public records held by Iowa government bodies; it does not convert this private website's files into government records. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request deletion of information about you
- Ask to correct inaccurate information
- Request a copy of information we maintain about you
- Opt out of certain processing where that right applies
